It’s so important for our children to know how special they are. God made just one of them, and they need to know from an early age how unique and specially designed they are.
I try to tell my daughters each day that I love them, but I have to admit with the busyness of every day life, it’s easy to rush through the day and forget to acknowledge all the special things they are doing and the special little people they are.
One thing we do every night, no matter how busy our lives are, is story time and prayer. This is special time when we connect with our daughters, really reflect on the day and talk about our thankfulness.
Recently, we started readying Bonnie Rickner Jensen’s book, God Made Just One. This book is part of the Mary & Martha collection and I cannot say enough great things about this sweet book. The book encourages, gives grace, affirms and simply explains God’s love for your child.
It’s illustrated by Ellen Matkowski and these fun illustrations can be seen on their Melamine set as well. I especially loved this because getting dinner ready and on the table can be one of my most hectic times of the day. Placing my child’s food on these plates reminds me to tell them how special they are and also the illustrations are fun for the girls! They actually want to clean their plates to see the fun characters at the bottom.
I’m so excited to announce, we’ve teamed up with Mary & Martha to give away a complete set of Melamine plates AND the book, God Made Just One!
Entering is simple.
Good luck and please share with our readers ways you tell your child she or he is special everyday!
