Pain With A Purpose

When people ask me about my experience with child birth it seems I always come back to working in pain with a purpose. Was it painful for me? Absolutely. Did I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the end outcome was going to be amazing? Absolutely. Knowing that gave me strength, endurance and perseverance.  It also gave me a sense of peace.

Pain with a purposeBut what if we looked at all pain in this same manner? What if we looked at our struggles, our hardships, our trials and our really, really bad days as pain with a purpose?

We all go through challenges and hard times. Some worse than others. Often times we don’t know why. We can’t see anything amazing coming from such trials and the pure pain of the experience leaves us drowning in sorrow. This pain is purposeful though. No matter what it is. The loss of a loved one, betrayal, financial hardships, failing health, all of these circumstances can be used to glorify God. Our faith grows the strongest when we are weak. This is the time he stirs in our heart the most. He is stretching our limits of what we thought was possible and helping us grow beyond what we thought we were capable of.

We may never be able to see the amazing outcome of our pain, but by giving glory to God through it all, our pain becomes, pain with a purpose. We are sharing our faith with others through our pain. We are growing our faith through our pain.

No matter what struggles you may be facing or enduring, know that He is with you. Try giving Him the glory through your pain. Meet each day with a positive outlook on your pain and share your faith through it all. Give God the glory and he will give you peace beyond understanding.
